samaritan counseling centers of the mid-south, inc.

Germantown Presbyterian Church is pleased to be one of the five Greater Memphis congregations serving as a host site for Samaritan Counseling Centers of the Mid-South, Inc.

The Germantown Samaritan Counseling Center is reached from GPC’s parking lot off South Germantown Road. Look for the SCC sign at the lot’s northern end. For information or to make an appointment for counseling at any of the centers, contact SCC’s administrative office at (901) 729-3900 or samaritanmemphis@bellsouth.net

Counselors available at GPC’s Center are the Rev. Rodney G. Spencer, Licensed Professional and National Certified Counselor, and Mrs. Linda Conrad, Licensed Marital and Family Therapist.

The ministry of the nonprofit, ecumenical Samaritan Counseling Centers is to make affordable mental health care, counseling and education available to all individuals, families, and congregations of the Mid-South needing such services, in which people’s values are respected, and wholeness of body, mind and spirit are supported. For over 28 years, thousands have come to the Centers to wrestle with and resolve personal and family problems.

Fee assistance services may be arranged for those with financial limitations, based on individual income circumstances and family size. These are made possible by the support of the Greater Memphis faith community, foundations, and private-sector contributors.
Other SCC centers are Downtown at Calvary Episcopal Church, Midtown adjacent to Idlewild Presbyterian Church, East at First Baptist Church of Memphis, and in Collierville at Collierville United Methodist Church.
