Internationally acclaimed soprano Kallen Esperian will sing Sounds of the Season at Germantown Presbyterian Church Sunday, December 2, 2:30 pm. Kallen will be accompanied by pianist Gary Beard, Music Director, Theatre Memphis.  A brass ensemble and the GPC Chancel Choir, under the direction of Dr. Jerold Teachey, Director of Music, will join Kallen and Gary in this exciting celebration of music of the season. Plan to arrive early; this concert has been a favorite of music lovers in the mid-south for years.

There is no charge for admission; the concert is a gift to the community from Germantown Presbyterian.

4pm: Blue Christmas quiet reflection service

GPC’s Blue Christmas worship service provides the opportunity to gather for a time of quiet reflection and meditation to honor the emotions of the season that are not so joyful, and to be reminded that we are not alone in this season.

GPC’s Christmas Eve services

3:30pm: Family Worship Service – GPC’s children lead this family friendly candlelight worship service with Scripture readings and music.

 

5:30pm: Traditional Worship Service –  GPC’s traditional candlelight worship service with carols, readings, the GPC Chancel Choir, soloists, trumpets, and Communion.

 

11:00pm: Candlelight Worship Service –  GPC’s worshipful, meditative candlelight Communion service with carols, soloists, and music from the hammered dulcimer.
