The Evening Worship Service (EWS) has rooted itself into the life of GPC. The service kicked off 2023 by moving into the Evans Chapel. This has been a beautiful usage of our historic chapel that continues the Lord’s work of GPC’s founding members and past leaders. The EWS strives to meet the needs of worshipers who enjoy traditional elements of a worship service and for worshipers who experience changing needs in their spiritual journey.

Much thought has gone into creating a worship service that is embracing and meaningful.
A special feature that is greatly enjoyed is having weekly communion. Worshipers walk to the Lord’s Table to receive communion by intinction.
The EWS also strives to meet the spiritual needs of worshipers through its Message. By having a different Message from the morning services’ Sermon, some worshipers attend both morning and evening services. The evening Message applies Biblical scripture to life application. The professional musicians present beautiful and joyful music that expresses a love for the Lord.
The service focuses on strengthening the sense of community that surrounds worshipers. The EWS Team has offered quarterly catered fellowship dinners in Warren Hall following the service. They have been very well attended. A “Chat & Charcuterie” pre-worship fellowship time was held in August and September. The EWS participated with Germantown Methodist Church and St George’s Episcopal Church for an Advent Progressive Church Service. This was the second year for this well attended service.
The Holy Spirit has been at work at GPC by expanding its worship offerings. The Evening Worship Service has quadrupled its participation in 2023 from 2022. It is a welcoming service with a casual atmosphere that is enjoyed by worshipers of all ages.
