Because of the groundswell of activity that’s already taken place in our new Young Adult Ministry, we are excited to share that GPC has hired a new part-time dedicated staff member – Liz Callicott – as our Young Adult Ministry Fellow! Liz will be the second person to go through GPC’s ‘Ministry Fellowship Program’. This is an intentional training experience for those exploring a sense of call to a career in full-time church ministry; designed to give participants a holistic opportunity to grow in their gifts and skills and have a tremendous impact on a specific ministry.
Liz has enjoyed life with Christ since she was a young girl, with deep roots in the Presbyterian tradition. After growing up as a member of First Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, TN, she later joined Senatobia Presbyterian in Senatobia, MS, when she married her husband, Alan. In Senatobia, she served as an Elder, PW Moderator, and Sunday School teacher. Liz has a heart for facilitating community Bible studies for women, leading soul care practices and retreats, and nurturing wellness as a personal trainer and yoga instructor. She and Alan have three grown young adults of their own – Ben, Lucy, and Ruth. Let’s warmly congratulate and welcome Liz into this new position and pray for her as the Lord’s guides her in this exciting opportunity.
