A letter from
Pastor Jay

My Friends, What a privilege it is to share about the exploratory mission trip to Ghana. This summer GPC commissioned Erin Bowden, Beth Brock, Ty Hardin, Lance Warren, my wife Frances, and myself to travel to the West African country of Ghana. Our task was to explore possibilities for a third global partnership for GPC, building on continuing partnerships in Mexico and Brazil.

The team GPC commissioned truly felt the Spirit’s guidance and affirmation that the church is indeed supposed to pursue further a partnership in this wonderful country.

What we saw filled us with hope and encouragement, to see not only how the gospel has long been present in Ghana but also how the gospel is being shared with boldness and vibrancy. We were blessed to be led by Dr. John Azumah, a professor at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta and a native Ghanaian.

Visiting with ministry leaders in the Northern and Upper Presbyteries of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, we witnessed first-hand the passion for Christ and His church evident within our Christian brothers and sisters.

Continue to pray for discernment of God’s guidance in a future partnership there, for there is no shortage of powerful ministry that we could be a part of.

In Christ, Jay
