those in our own community
Germantown Presbyterian Church is involved in a number of local mission efforts in Memphis, Shelby County, and surrounding areas.
Room in the Inn
As Room in the Inn (RITI) approaches its 2nd year at GPC for the 2019-20 season, we need some new volunteers.
This is a perfect time to jump in and get involved, you guys!
We have 10 nights of service this year. We host every 2nd and 4th Saturday nights from November 1 – March 31.
And we want you!
If you’ve always wanted to be involved in this ministry, this is the perfect time to jump in. We’re happy to train you!
Join others and become one of the dedicated volunteers to help show the love of Jesus as we minister to the homeless. You will be far more blessed than the guests we host.
Thanks! and we’re excited to meet you
and work with you this year.

The Missions Leadership Team (MLT) is a committee of the Session open to all members of the congregation. The purpose of the MLT is to help GPC develop a clear, robust theological and scriptural understanding both of the need for mission and its implementation. The MLT has several important goals: to establish GPC as an action-oriented missional church; to provide long-term, relationship-based mission opportunities for the GPC congregation; to work with other committees and groups to provide proactive/hands-on involvement; and to provide clear global missions direction, seeking to establish longstanding international partnerships. We try to focus on “hand-up” efforts as opposed to “hand-out” efforts in order to break the cycles of dependence. We are always praying for God’s guidance in new opportunities to go with our established efforts. In particular, given our church’s passion for teaching and education, we are exploring what it would mean to focus on education-related missions and ministries as a church.
The MLT meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM, and you are always invited! For information, contact the church office here.
