The GPC September Outdoor Music Fellowship Event – Sunday, Sept 13, 6pm

The August Outdoor Concert Fellowship Event was so popular that GPC’s Congregational Life Leadership Team has scheduled another one in September! Yay!

The event this month will begin at 6pm instead of 6:30pm. We want to take as much advantage of the early evening light as possible.

The location will be the same – the parking lot on the east side of the church just off Arthur Road. Bring your own blankets, lawn chairs, coolers with your picnic food and beverages and masks. As in August, the parking lot will be chalked off into socially distanced spaces for you and your family.

This month’s group, the Pine Ridge Pickers, is a local trio that plays bluegrass and old time music. Consisting of Craig Yarbrough on upright bass, Davey Coleman on acoustic guitar, and multi-instrumentalist Andy Ratliff on banjo, guitar, and mandolin, all members sing. The group is sure to provide a perfect musical backdrop for the September fellowship gathering. Extra fun fact: Davey Coleman is GPC member Beth Brock’s brother!

An additional treat this month is – MemPops! That’s right, the MemPops truck will be onsite for one hour during the concert so you can enjoy cool refreshing treats.
